Manchester United is the destination for Harry Maguire once the World Cup ends, according to bookmakers Coral (h/t Daily Star).
The Leicester City defender has been one of the most impressive players in the tournament and has been a rock at the back for England.
The 25-year-old only joined Leicester at the start of last season but Coral’s John Hill claims that the Englishman will be in high demand.
“Harry Maguire was one of the stars of the England team at the World Cup and punters feel Manchester United are going to pursue the defender and make him their man before the Premier League season begins,”
United have a number of central defenders and signed Victor Lindelof last season. The Swede too had a pretty good tournament but Maguire would be a great signing given that he is extremely consistent and seems to be getting better with each game under his belt.
The 25-year-old might cost a lot since he only switched clubs last season and his stock will be at an all-time high due to his exploits with the Three Lions.
The former Hull City defender cost Leicester just £17m and played every single minute of the Premier League campaign, so he is extremely robust as well.
It will be interesting to see if we do go all out and sign the defender up. Leicester will have the advantage when it comes to negotiations but if Maguire wants to try his luck in the Champions League, there could be no better option than United.
