Manchester United are preparing themselves for the arrival of Gareth Bale should the Welshman decide to move away from Real Madrid.
The Manchester Evening News (h/t The Express) claims that United boss Jose Mourinho has been discussing his plans for the summer window, which includes Bale.
Ed Woodward believes that the Welsh attacker could be available for a fee of £100million, an amount that United are willing to stump up for the 28-year-old.
Bale was the difference in the 3-1 win over Liverpool in the Champions League final but his position in the starting XI at Real is still up for debate.
The report also claims that bale would sit down with new Real manager Julen Lopetegui and discuss his future at the club. While Bale would be an expensive signing for us, there is no doubt he would be an amazing purchase for the club.
Bale still has a lot of football in him and if he can get over his injury concerns, he would certainly add a lot of competition for the attacking spots in the United side.
The Welshman has been a target for us for years and even in a so-called average campaign, the 28-year-old scored 21 goals in all competitions for Real.
We can do with some additional firepower and with Mourinho looking to spend money, we just might be able to get the Welsh Wizard to Old Trafford.
