Manchester United are willing to pay £70m for Germany international Toni Kroos according to Don Balon (h/t The Express).
The German recently came into the news as he scored a last-minute goal for the reigning world champions to gift them a 2-1 win over Sweden.
Kroos also had a terrific season for Real as he picked up the Champions League trophy under Zinedine Zidane. However, he seems to be a target for Jose Mourinho and is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League.
The 28-year-old has been one of the best players for Real ever since he moved to the club from Bayern Munich and he seems to be getting better with each season.
There is no questioning his ability and if we are to sign him, it would be a coup given the passing range and composure he would bring to our midfield.
We have already brought in the likes of Fred and Diogo Dalot so far but Kroos would certainly be a marquee signing and he could give us the extra boost required to challenge for the Premier League crown.
The Germany international has the potential to boss the United midfield. Furthermore, his presence alongside Paul Pogba and Fred could make our midfield one of the best across England.
We do require some quality players and honestly, if we have to pay £70m for the 28-year-old, we should just break the bank and go for it.
A player of that quality does not come cheap and £70m would be peanuts compared to some of the other prices being quoted in the market.
