Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is not going to give up on David de Gea and has already held talks with agent Jorge Mendes regarding a transfer according to Spanish radio station Onda Cero (h/t Metro).
We all know that Real have been targeting De Gea for a number of years and Perez has now spoken with Julen Lopetegui about signing the 27-year-old goalkeeper from United in the summer.
The new Madrid manager is keen on reuniting with the shot-stopper after being sacked as Spain boss on the eve of the World Cup in Russia.
The goalkeeper won the Golden Glove for United this season and is possibly the best player we have in our current team.
Real do have other targets in AS Roma’s Alisson and even Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois but they prefer signing De Gea over the other two keepers.
United will have their hands full once again, as they try to keep hold of their star keeper. This certainly is not a new development as Madrid have tried their best to sign the world-class keeper but only to be rebuffed by United every single time.
We simply cannot let go of De Gea if we are to have any chance of picking up silverware next season as he is possibly the best in the world.
The 27-year-old has only gotten better during his time at Old Trafford and hopefully, we can keep him here for a number of years.
