As per a report from Sky Sports, Willian is edging closer to an exit from Chelsea as Manchester United continue to retain an interest in the fiery Brazilian winger.

There are a lot of question marks regarding Antonio Conte’s future as the Blues’ manager. Despite steering them to an FA Cup win, it remains to be seen if he continues to be in charge of Chelsea. If the Italian gaffer remains as Chelsea’s head coach, Sky Sports claims Willian will push for an exit.

Conte’s relationship with a lot of the key players have affected the club’s fortunes and the £110,000-a-week Willian appears to be the latest to join this growing list.

The pacy and creative winger boasts of ample experience and potential. Every time he put on the Chelsea jersey in the recently-concluded season, Willian delivered some impressive performances. He is also regarded as a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge and yet, Conte has not provided him enough game time.

Willian was left out of the starting XI for the FA Cup final and that is a trend we have seen in recent times. To be honest, there seems to be no justification behind Conte’s decision to do so but it looks like United could stand to gain from his folly.

Landing a player of Willian’s calibre would undoubtedly be a major boost for us. After the kind of season we have had, it is crucial for us to rebuild our squad this summer and signing the talented Brazilian would certainly be a step in the right direction.
