Another game, another big win for the Red Devils. Manchester United thrashed an all-confident CSKA Moscow side 4-1 in Russia and underlined their utter dominance once again this season. It all started with Romelu Lukaku breaking the deadlock in as early as the fourth minute before Anthony Martial made it two with a calmly taken penalty.
Just some minutes later, Lukaku completed his brace and Henrikh Mkhitaryan added further misery to CSKA’s fate. As the game approached its end, the hosts finally got their consolation and that was it. United could have easily scored more, but thanks to the brilliance of Igor Akinfeev, the tally was restricted to four. It was a night of a number of achievements and to start with; it was Eric Bailly’s first Champions League appearance for Manchester United. The defender missed United’s Super Cup and the first Champions League fixture due to a ban and returned with a bang.
Furthermore, Henrikh Mkhitaryan made his 50th appearance for Manchester United and marked it with a well-taken goal. Last, but not the least, it was Jose Mourinho’s 11th game against a Russian opponent as a manager and this win means Mourinho has now won 8 games against Russian teams and is yet to lose any (Drawn three).
Having said that, this is how the Twitteratis reacted to the game:

Loved it, but shocked at CSKA. Nothing changed after being 3-0 down. Proper solid classic mourinho. SAF May have drew this one.
