Levent Gundogan Joins Manchester United Academy

Manchester United have completed the signing of Welsh wonder kid Levent Gundogan after a successful six-week trial with the club. The news comes as a boost for the Manchester United academy after seeing some encouraging changes under Academy Boss Nicky Butt.

Nicky butt continues to develop the Manchester United youth academy.

According to the youngster’s former club, the Connah’s Quay Nomads, Gundogan was handed a six-week trial after scoring four goals for North Wales developmental squad at Carrington.

A Nomads spokesman said: “[He’s] a very gifted player who is comfortable up front or in attacking midfield. Levent’s attitude and commitment to training and the club have been first-class and we wish him all the best during his time at Manchester United. He performed well in the game which saw him score four goals in a four all friendly, away at Carrington. From this, he was awarded a six-week trial, for which he has been successful and signed a full-time contract with Manchester United Academy last week.”

Manchester United in the past, have produced so many world class young talents in their academy and it will be no surprise if Gundogan makes progress to go on to become a first-team regular.

The Manchester United first-team currently has a lot of academy products plying their trade and making a significant impact. Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, and Marcus Rashford have established themselves at senior level and have been performing impressively.

Gundogan has a lot of players who he can look up to when it comes to taking the famous old path of playing for the Manchester United team after being a part of their youth academy. With a coach like Nicky Butt at the helm, the young boy will have a lot of scope to improve himself and all he probably ahs to do would be to put his head down and concentrate on football alone.

A lot of promising young players have never made it big in world football because of their attitude, but with Nomad’s spokesperson praising the boy’s attitude and commitment; it is hard to see why he would change in the future.

However, things are looking good for the Manchester United Academy and with Butt in charge of the Academy; we can expect a lot of youth talent to be unearthed in the future.
