The Chinese investors are beginning to create a huge conundrum in the sport and the recent report from The Sun suggests that they are ready to ride the richest club in England.

Wayne Rooney, who recently became Manchester United’s all-time top scorer with 250 goals, is about to receive a staggering wage pack from the far east investors. It is being reported that the Chinese moneybags are ready to make Rooney one of the highest earning sportsmen in the world by offering him a £1 MILLION A WEEK deal.

Yes, you heard it right – £1 MILLION A WEEK!

The Chinese clubs have received a big time criticism from the European managers for their recent investment which is wrecking a havoc in the transfer market. Chelsea’s midfielder Oscar recently left to the land of martial arts and he was followed by his compatriot John Obi Mikel.

And now, it seems like they have turned their head towards Manchester and are ready to launch a big bid for their captain. Rooney was linked with a move to the far east during the summer of 2016 and even Beijing Guoan’s honorary chairman Luo Ning revealed that the 31-year-old rejected an offer to stay with the club.

“We indeed made an approach for Rooney at the beginning of the season but he’s informed us that he wants to stay in Manchester United.

“Rooney says he’ll keep playing in the Premier League as long as his health allows. We even met with his agent.”

It was certainly expected that Rooney would never have left the club as he was on the verge of creating history and as the mission is now accomplished, it won’t be a surprise to see him leave the club in the coming summer. The Three-Lion’s captain has lost his place in the Manchester United starting line-up and has been an in-and-out personnel throughout this season and when the new Summer signings arrive, Rooney will further fall behind in the pecking order.

The report further claimed that a source from China went on to say:

“There is a belief that Rooney might be allowed to leave United this summer, by which time he’ll have spent 13 years at the club and made more than 550 appearances.

“Even though he’ll have one year left on his contract, it’s a good time to go because he is now the top scorer in the club’s history.”

He even went on to mention that Rooney will most probably sign a two-year deal and will earn the amount he hasn’t earned in his entire Manchester United career in no time.

“He would probably sign a two-year deal in China and will earn more in that time than he has done during the whole of his United career.”

Quite recently, after the game against Stoke City, Jose Mourinho was asked about the probable future of Wayne Rooney at Manchester United and the former Chelsea boss claimed that it is Rooney who will decide his future.

“I think he still has more to give us, but you reach a certain level in his career when it is up to him,” Mourinho said as quoted by Sky Sports.

Even though Rooney has recently claimed that he is very happy at the club, it is not a secret that Mourinho is on to something big and if his plan goes accordingly, Rooney might have to find another club.
