Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to make a sensational move for the out of favour Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to the reports from The Sun.
The former Malaga midfielder, Isco, is a reported target for many European clubs most notably, AC Milan, hence, the Portuguese will have to act swiftly if he tends to land the playmaker at the Theatre of Dreams.
Isco, who is nothing more than a substitute for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit, was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City to link up with his old Malaga boss Manuel Pelligrini before moving to the Bernabeu in 2013. Till date, the 24-year-old has more than 150 appearances to his name for the Galacticos, but a majority of them have come as a substitute.
Even in this season, he has made all of his league appearances from the substitutes’ bench. Even though he has failed to break into the first team, he still is regarded as one of the most creative midfielders in the era and it is safe to say that any team would love to have him.
Well, Jose Mourinho do have a lot of numbers to choose from, but Isco’s creativity and vision is on another level. Thanks to his versatility, the 24-year-old can play a number of roles on the field and that also includes the false number nine.
The stylish playmaker has been continually overlooked by boss Zinedine Zidane and if Isco does become available in January, a posse of top European will be ready to fight for his signature. In his very first season with the Galacticos, he went on to score 11 goals, but the numbers eventually went down as his chances were made limited, and hence, a move to the Old Trafford might be on the cards.
