Manchester United new signing, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, is reportedly unhappy with how Jose Mourinho has utilised his skills so far. The 27-year-old former Dortmund midfielder is frustrated that he’s not being played in his favoured position by Jose Mourinho.
The Armenian barely featured for the Red Devils, but when he has, he has been deployed on the right-hand side of the attacking trio. The Armenian was handed his first start for the team against the arch-rivals Manchester City and he failed to deliver the promises and eventually, he was snubbed off by the manager at the half time.
The Sun say Mkhitaryan believes he will produce his best form for United if he’s played in a more central role. In the Derby, he repeatedly lost the ball and failed to break down the right as boss Jose Mourinho wanted. Last term, the 27-year-old was voted the best player in the Bundesliga after scoring 11 times with 15 assists, mainly from his favoured No 10 role.
Manchester United manager, in his first conference, clearly stated that he skipper Wayne Rooney will be playing the central role, hence, the Armenian’s desire might cut loose. With him failing badly in the Derby, the manager was asked about the possible lineup he will be using against Feyenoord and he said:
“The performances are the deciding factor.
“Performances are the only way I can decide.
“So if you are asking me if they’ll play against Feyenoord, then no.”
