Santos striker Gabriel Barbosa has been asked to give a decision regarding Manchester United’s interest on signing the player. The player has been informed by the club that his move out of the South-American club will be his decision, whether he wants to accept United’s offer or not.

According to the reports from Mirror, United manager Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the player, who was a part of Brazilian squad who won Gold at the Olympics.

Although, United have been linked with the player, Santos president Modesto Rama has revealed that the only concrete offer for the player has come from Italy, that are Juventus and Inter Milan.

“The only real offers come from Juventus and Inter,” declared the Santos chief.

“Now it depends on Gabriel. Santos don’t have to accept or refuse, the clauses for a move are in his contract and the club will respect them.”

Speaking after the Selecao’s success in Rio at the weekend, the young forward insists that only now will he look to see what the future holds.

“Up until now, I haven’t really had the time to think about anything because my attention was completely on the Olympics.

“Now I will celebrate with my family, then I will return to Santos and think about what I should do.”

United will need to work fast if they want to sign the player, with Juventus and Inter keen on signing the youngster there is a chance that the Red Devils will be left behind on the race for the talented youngster.
