Manchester United Defender Marcos Rojo may be heading out of the Old Trafford this summer and if reports are to be believed then Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco seems to be the player’s potential destination.
Reports from the Daily Record state that the Ligue 1 club are prepared to offer over £10m for the Argentine defender and United are willing to accept the bid as it would allow Mourinho in strengthening the defensive side in his squad.
United manager Mourinho made it clear that the player is not in his plans for the first team this season and consequently Rojo is set to head out of the Old Trafford.
United have been linked with Southampton centre-back Jose Fonte in the last few days and reports from the Sun suggest that Rojo could have been offered to the Saints to make weight for a potential transfer move for Fonte. However United are one defender down at the start of the Premier League season as new signing Eric Bailly is set to play for the Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations. This could be Mourinho’s main reason pushing Mourinho to add a defender in the squad.
