Manchester United duo Donald Love and Paddy McNair are set to head to Sunderland on a deal worth £5.5m, as reports stating that the duo are offered to Sunderland started circulating.
Sunderland manager David Moyes knows the players from his days at United, although the player’s never played under Moyes. The duo were given their first team chance by Louis Van Gaal and Love has made two appearances for United last season, while McNair featured regularly under Louis Van Gaal and also played for Northern Ireland at the Euros 2016.
The players are set to get reunited with former United boss Moyes at the Stadium of Light, after Manchester United accepted Sunderland’s offer for the players.
The pair will undergo their medicals at Sunderland tomorrow, with the deal potentially rising to a combined £7m.
Moyes is still looking to seal a loan move for Januzaj but that won’t happen until at least next week because of other interest and what other loans Sunderland are looking at.
‘If any of those good players want to join me I’d be happy to have them,’ said Moyes, who gave Januzaj his full United debut at Sunderland in 2013 and the Belgian responded with a match-winning double.
Manchester United signed four new players in the squad namely, Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and the latest and most expensive signing Paul Pogba. After the incomings, United are now looking after outgoings of the summer.
