Manchester United ended their pre-season tour in style as they defeated the Turkish side Galatasaray with a thumping scoreline of five goals to two. Now, before playing against Leicester City for the Community Shield, the side will be facing Roland Koeman’s Everton for Wayne Rooney’ testimonial match at Old Trafford on 3rd of August 2016.

In the game against Galatasaray, the new arrival Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring for the Reds with a wonderfully worker bicycle kick, but the Devils found themselves lagging behind at the end of the first half, but they responded in style and went on to score four second half goals to secure an easy win over the Turks.

Now, on the 3rd of August, Manchester United fans will see their beloved players and the manager at the Theatre of Dreams for the very first time. The game has been organized to raise the funds for disadvantaged and vulnerable children.

Club’s skipper Wayne Rooney will be celebrating his 12 wonderful years with the Devils since his transfer as a teenager from Everton, and his newly-launched Wayne Rooney Foundation has chosen four charities, namely, : the NSPCC, Claire House Children’s Hospice, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the Manchester United Foundation, to which the amount will be donated.

The game is played for a great cause, and here, we give you Manchester United’s predicted lineup that could face Everton at the Theatre of Dreams:

Goalkeeper: David De Gea-

The 25-year-old Spaniard struggled in his distribution last time out, but it is expected that he will be starting the game for the Reds against Everton.

Defence: Valencia; Smalling; Jones; Shaw-

The Ecuadorian skipper Antonio Valencia struggled badly against Dortmund, but the 30-year-old marked his physical presence against Galatasaray and bagged three assists to his name. The midfielder, who turned into a defender under Sir Alex Ferguson still has a lot of things to offer, and we are sure that Mourinho can sense it.

We might see a change in the centre back pairing this time. The Portuguese tactician might be looking to give Eric Bailly a rest against Everton, and might go with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones. Jones, who came on as a substitute last time out, really needs to work more on his work rate and the games like these could really help his cause. Alongside Jones, the manager might use the Manchester United Players’ Player of the Year, Chris Smalling.

On the left flank, Luke Shaw is an obvious candidate for the manager.

Holding midfielders: Carrick; Schneiderlin-

The 35-year-old English midfielder, Michael Carrick, who recently signed a one-year extension with the club is the most likely candidate to start the game against Everton. Carrick completed his 10 years with the club on 31st July and will be heading towards his 11th season with the club.

With Carrick playing a defensive role, the manager might use the French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin ahead of Ander Herrera, who failed badly in the game against Galatasaray.

Attacking Trio: Mkhitaryan; Rooney; Martial-

The new arrival Henrikh Mkhitaryan was a quite personal in the last game for the side, but we all know what the Armenian is capable of delivering. He most probably will be operating the game from the right spot, and on the other flank, the manager will surely be using Manchester United’s top scorer of the last season, Anthony Martial. With both the players looking to exploit the wings, Manchester United’s skipper will be guiding the side from the centre.

Striker: Zlatan Ibrahimovic-

The 34-year-old striker marked his presence in the United’s shirt in the first five minutes of his debut as he opened the scoring with a sensuous bicycle kick. He was then replaced by Rashford in the second half, and it is expected that the Big Swede might start the game for the Reds in the next game as well.
