It has been a while since Manchester United have been linked with Juventus player Paul Pogba and while last few weeks saw nothing come off the link-up and no progress in United’s pursuit of the player, recent reports suggest a slight difference in the situation.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, United have made their first formal offer for the player of €101m, however Juventus are expected to demand €120m plus bonuses based on performance. United, after having their first offer rejected by the Old Lady, are expected to give a follow up offer soon.
Pogba who was let go by United under Sir Alex Fergusson is now one of the top targets for the new manager Jose Mourinho and while the Red Devils are keen on signing the player they are facing strong competition from the player’s parent club Juventus who are keen on holding on to the player.
