3 Lesser Known Targets Manchester United Could Sign This Summer Other Than The Big Names Of Pogba

published :

Mourinho eyed various players before even he was officially announced as the Manchester United manager. As the fans predicted, it is to be another busy summer of Manchester United transfer news with a change in manager.

Jose still has a few less-known players in his wishlist. Paul Pogba isn’t the only player left to sign for him.

3 less-known players Manchester United could target this summer:

  1. John Stones

John Stones

The news of the Portuguese coach trying to get the Everton defender to Old Trafford spread even before Mourinho was given the managerial duty.  John Stones has struggled last season after raging onto the big stage. He is still regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe and there is bound to be a lot of interest in him from the big clubs again this summer. Chelsea failed with a £40million bid for the 21-year-old last time around. United will have to pay big bucks if they want to bring the England international to Old Trafford. Stones has made a total of 77 appearances for Everton since 2013.

  1. Marquinhos

He is a quick player with a good sense of position and knows how to impose himself on a game. He has named his teammate Thiago Silva as his role model and the PSG youngster is comfortable at right-back or centre-half and his versatility would add options to the United squad. He also has a Champions League experience and has already racked up more than 100 career appearances at the mild age of 21. However, the Brazilian defender is also wanted by Barcelona. Manchester United could target the Brazilian defender as they do need some alternatives in defence, and with John Stones’ transfer to Old Trafford seeming to be a much less of a probability, it wouldn’t be a bad decision if they target him. Marquinhos has made a total of 75 appearances and also scored 5 goals for PSG since 2013.

  1. Moussa Sissoko

Manchester United might make a shock move for Moussa Sissoko if they fail to land Paul Pogba this summer, according to The Mirror. Pogba is Jose Mourinho’s main target in this transfer window, but with Juventus unwilling to sell and offering their star player a new contract, United could be forced to look somewhere else. The Newcastle midfielder experienced relegation last season, but impressed fans around the world in EURO 2016.  He has been the main player for his club since he signed for them in 2013, making 118 appearances and scoring 11 goals.
