Manchester United player Jesse Lingard may end up creating a transfer scramble if United boss Jose Mourinho deems him surplus to requirement at the Old Trafford.
United have already signed Eric Bailly from Villareal, Zlatan Ibrahimovic a free agent who played for PSG and Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund and is now preparing a deal worth £100m for France International and Juventus player Paul Pogba. However Mourinho is also preparing to slash out eight players who are currently a part of the squad as he plans to work with a 22 player team for the summer.
Although, the 23 year old player was a revelation at the Old Trafford under Louis Van Gaal, his future at United remains uncertain after the latter’s replacement by Mourinho.
Thus Mourinho selling off eight players to bring in Pogba makes things worse for Lingard whose availability will create a transfer scramble between the clubs.
