3 Diffculties Jose Mourinho Will Face At Manchester United Once The Season Kicks Off

published :

Jose Mourinho seems to be prepared for his first spell as the Manchester United manager in full force. He has already achieved success in the Premier League during his time at Stamford Bridge, but the Portuguese coach might find some aspects difficult this time.

Let’s look how!

  1. Squad Rotation-

One thing United has never backed out of is the rotation of the squad. All the players get a chance to play and Sir Alex always tried not to have anyone in the team to go “game-less”, and somehow succeeded.

Whether a player is too young or not in a good form, he always would have got a fair amount of game time.
Jose Mourinho is kind of spoilt in those terms. He sticks to whoever is performing well and hardly makes changes to the squad, that is, if they are on a good run.
Mourinho might be forced to go against his way at his time at United.

  1. Expectations To Be Matched-

With so much of anticipation, fans and the club too, are going to expect a lot from the new manager. As we all know, United will be playing in the Europa League this season, and not the Champions League (burns, doesn’t it?), it will be expected that the team wins the European competition, or at least, reaches the final. But apart from that, the main pressure Mourinho would be facing will be to excel in the Premier League.

That is by far, the most important and the toughest objective of all this season. With Pep and Conte both entering the English Premier League, managing giant clubs, Mourinho will face the wrath from the fans, which he may have never faced in England, that is, if his plans go south.

  1. His Own Reasons-

Mourinho was sacked midway through this season after a poor defence of the Premier League title and now ended up managing Manchester United. However, even before having any idea where he will end up, he claimed that his job was going to be difficult.

He said: “It’s difficult because when you get a new club in this period normally the clubs they did already their work. I give you an example. I’m not the Chelsea manager, but I organized the Chelsea pre-season in many aspects because I did that 10 months ago.

“Clubs have their commercial, marketing departments always involved in everything. When a new manager arrives in May, June it’s very difficult to touch in some points but we know that.”

But looking at how he owned the room during his first press conference as the United manager, we hope that is the real deal about him.
