The poor form of United in the previous season obviously resulted in criticism against some players who were performing poorly.
But there are some players in the team who didn’t get the credit they deserved for their display on the pitch as it went unnoticed.

Juan Mata
Many fans won’t accept the fact that the Spanish playmaker is actually underrated despite his average performance in many games. And many would also support Jose Mourinho if he makes an official call to sell him. Mata has been one of the best playmakers in the Premier League since his arrival at Chelsea. Recently, his contribution to the team has been going unnoticed, as he was not given the right position to play. We often saw him playing at the wings even though that isn’t is preferred position, in fact, for any playmaker in that case.

Daley Blind
From left-back to central defensive midfielder and then finally at the centre-back position, Blind showed his versatility well and good at the time his team needed. Moreover, he hardly underperformed in any of those positions. He did a poor job at the centre-back role from time to time but never failed to give his 100%. Being a replacement to Phil Jones and playing alongside Smalling for almost half a season, the Dutch footballer gave it his all and on some occasions, did a better job defending than any other player.

Morgan Schneiderlin
Schneiderlin might be one of the most underrated players in the Barclays Premier League. His work rate and stamina is definitely an asset to his team. The French footballer has gone unnoticed so much that fans forget about the times when his timed-tackles or his interplay with teammates saved the day, or at least, saved the team for that particular moment. With Schweinsteiger missing a large part of his first season due to injury, and Fellaini still struggling to find his old Everton form, Schneiderlin emerged as the main central defensive midfielder. He can still do even better under Jose Mourinho, being tipped to have more potential.
