Manchester United are preparing for a record breaking signing this summer, according to the Manchester Evening News. According to the reports from the MEN Jose Mourinho is confident that there will be at least one major signing this summer at United.
United have been long linked with France international Paul Pogba this summer, so much so that Mourinho took a step back from pursuing Miralem Pjanic.
Pogba who formerly left United and turned into a revelation at Juventus, is more likely to head to Real Madrid than to United and reports suggest that the deal is being negotiated between the clubs. Further reports suggest that United are not confident that the deal may go through for the player’s move back to United.
If we go by speculation, then if United are to bring a major superstar to the Old Trafford this summer, then they have very limited option as Gareth Bale is back being the favorite at Real Madrid and Ronaldo would surely not want to work with Mourinho again, thus leaving 24 year old Neymar.
Neymar’s move to United this summer is a very doubtful prospect, thus it is still unclear who may be United’s marquee signing this summer.
