Manchester Unietd have increased their efforts in signing Borussia Dortmund player Henrikh Mkhitaryan into the squad this summer. The Red Devils earlier offered a bid of £18million for the player and now they have reportedly offered a £28m deal for the player, according to the Daily Star. Dortmund have valued the 27-year-old at £30m, but United are confident of reaching a compromise with them after bidding close to the asking price.
Mkhitaryan, who scored 23 goals in the Bundesliga last season, has just 12 months of his current deal remaining at Dortmund.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to head to the Old Trafford this summer, although there is a slight development in the not so new news. According to Italian Journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Ibrahimovic signed a pre contract agreement that was sent to him at the Euro training camp in Sweden, which he signed and sent back. Further, the fee for breaking his Pre-contract is reportedly so high that nobody will try to break it.
He told talkSPORT: “He’s signed for Manchester United.
“He signed an agreement in early June. It was sent to him at the pre-Euro 2016 training camp in Sweden, he signed it and sent it back.
“It’s the pre-agreement to prepare for the move. That’s just how things work in football, it was the same with Mourinho and Manchester United.
“As far as I know, the fee for breaking the pre-agreement is so high that nobody ever does.”
Further reports suggested that Mourinho has been looking to bring in his former player Willian into the squad this summer, however Mourinho has been snubbed on the face with regards to the news as Chelsea have no plans to sell the player and have reportedly offered him a new four year deal.
Willian has two years to run on the deal he signed when he joined the club for £32m from Anzi Makhachkala back in 2013 But the Blues have made it clear to United that they are not interested in losing a man who was their shining light in a dismal season
