Manchester United are in the lead to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba in the summer according to the Metro news report.
Pogba left United in 2012 due to lack of opportunity under Sir Alex Ferguson and since then has won four Scudetto back to back. He has also developed into one of the finest midfielders in the world with the ability to dribble, tackle, shoot and control the midfield with authority. He left Old Trafford for only £800,000 but may cost United up to £70 million and above to get him back to where he started his career.
Thus far Manchester City were leading the race for the player, but after the given price tag, they seemed to have pulled out of the race. Barcelona too were interested, but has decided not to pursue Pogba. This leaves Manchester United alone and now favorite to sign the player. While £70 million is a big amount the club is reportedly ready to hand the fund to Jose Mourinho to sign a midfield general like Pogba.
