After 39 appearances for Manchester United, Matteo Darmian is moving closer to an exit from Old Trafford in the summer.
The defender arrived from Torino under Louis Van Gaal’s administration and started the season with good impact. His initial games saw him attract praise from several pundits and fans alike, however towards the end of the season he was no longer the regular in the first team. Louis Van Gaal seemed to have preferred Antonio Valencia over the Italian.
Now with Jose Mourinho taking over Old Trafford it has been reported by The Sun that the Portuguese is not really convinced by Darmian and will let him leave this summer. Juventus are keen on the player, but Darmian may have to fight for his place at Juventus considering that Dani Alves from Barcelona is likely to arrive at the club. Mourinho is no stranger to Darmian as during his tenure at Inter Milan the player used to play for AC Milan.
