Manchester United have been heavily linked with Celtic defender Daniel Church for the youth team of the Red Devils. The 15 year old player has been one of the key player for the Hoop’s under 17 team.
ESPN has informed that the Manchester United are looking to strengthen their youth team in order to provide a strong academy line up in the coming years. The Manchester United academy is set to undergo an overhaul after their under-18 team lost 12 consecutive matches. This has led to the sacking of Paul McGuinness and Brian McClair who has been replaced by Nicky Butt as the head of the academy.
Several of Manchester United youngsters have taken part to fill in the gaps of the first team under Louis Van Gaal and many of them have impressed by performing on par with the first team players. This has caused the club to look deeply into their youth and strengthen where required.
