In spite of becoming extremely successful at Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo is reported to have maintained a very good relationship with the Old Trafford club. Many suspected that the reason was so that someday he could come back and retire at the club where he made his name and went on to become a world class player.
However as per Don Balon, Manchester United executives are not ready to take back Ronaldo even if the Portuguese superstar becomes available in the summer. There was news the Fiorentino Perez is ready to cash in on the star in the summer but post his heroics against Wolfsburg the club is said to change their mind and are ready to offer the player £16.5m-a-year contract instead.
In spite of this, there may be a possibility that the new deal will not come through and the club will sell him. Well, United are not going to be the one to buy him if reports from the Portuguese media is true. Apparently the United sponsors would love to see him at Old Trafford but the club thinks he has past his prime and the enormous wage is not justified.
