As per the Guardian, the Red Devils may have until the start of May to either appoint Jose Mourinho or risk losing the Portuguese to some other club.
Ed Woodward has so far resisted the temptation of hiring the special one and instead given chance to Louis Van Gaal despite a major possibility of losing out on Champions League next season. Manchester United is currently only in FA Cup race and the season has been below par to say the least. The Portuguese is expected to deliver quick results historically however he has been careful not to push himself in the media as Louis Van Gaal and him share a relationship.
Not to say that he will not take up the job at United if it is offered to him. Jorge Mendes, Mourinho’s agent has a close working relation with the club and it will not be difficult if Louis Van Gaal is let go in the summer. But given the report from Guardian, Manchester United may have to hurry up if they want to take the Portuguese in.
