Edinson Cavani and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still continue to be linked with Manchester United. Both the strikers are on a lookout by the club’s representatives and might be in talks with the club as well.
United’s form this season has frustrated the club to a massive extent that they’re ready to sack Louis van Gaal and bring Jose Mourinho as the club’s manager, and also buy top quality players, whichever the Portuguese coach prefers.
Both Cavani and Aubameyang will cost Manchester United a fortune to buy. The club needs to make out which player will fit better at the club. It can be a tough choice as both of them have excelled really well for their club this season.
Let’s look at some stats.

Edinson Cavani

Avg. Pass Accuracy: 85%
Special Traits: Clinical finisher, Long-shot taker, Good in air
Both Aubameyang and Cavani are almost head to head in stats and in-game as well. But still the practical choice would be of buying Aubameyang as United are looking to buy a striker mainly in terms of scoring more goals.
The club doesn’t need a striker who is a set-piece specialist or a player who can show his pin-point accuracy passing (we already have players for that job). They just need a forward who can get the job done wasting as least chances as possible.
The Dortmund forward has shown his ability to strike goals from different angles. His pace is a nightmare for every defender. His kind of game actually works in the Premier League and he can settle very quickly, impacting greatly in club’s progress in the next season.
United really need a Van Persie-like-signing who can help them to win the title, or well, at least something. And Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can be that signing.
