Manchester United has been plagued with mediocre football this season that has baffled many pundits. Another plague that the team has succumbed to is injury. There has been instances when 14 of United’s players were injured at the same time.
One of the injury that has hurt the fans and the team most is also probably their first injury, the broken leg of Luke Shaw. The promising young defender was putting on some show before the ill-fated match against PSV Eindhoven where he fractured his leg at two places. However as per the reports and the tweet from the player looks like he is set to return in the coming week.
Manchester Evening News is hopeful and has reported that the player could still feature this season after suffering the horrific injury. This is a good news for Louis Van Gaal and the team but the expectation should probably be on the lower side as he may take some time to get match fit. Nonetheless, the fans and the teammates will most likely be happy to see him return. During his absence LVG was forced to play young academy graduates such as Borthwick-Jackson in the left back position.
