Manchester United’s managerial position is highly debatable at this juncture but one thing that is certain is that the Red Devils will be shopping heavily in the summer. The chances are that one of the positions the club is looking to strengthen is that of the strikers.
In spite of the emergence of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, the Red Devils may want to add more experience to the striker line up and one of the players that has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford is Romelu Lukaku of Everton.
The Belgian international’s father has said that several big European clubs including Manchester United are interested in his son as reported by Mirror. While this confirms that United are looking for a striker will Lukaku be the right man to lead the United attack? That is a different question altogether. Going by the history the last time United bought a striker from Everton it was not too shabby a deal. Ahem! Wazza.
