Rumour is that the Red Devils have approached the Inter Milan centre back, Joao Miranda. The player was signed by Internazionale in 2015 on a two-year loan, for €4 million from Atlético Madrid.
The Brazilian defender has been linked with Manchester United since last month.
With Jose Mourinho most likely to replace van Gaal as United’s manager for next season, his intention is to get Miranda along with Inter Milan’s captain, Icardi to Old Trafford.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Miranda is seen playing in the Manchester United kit next season.
But is it a correct transfer to go for? Do we really need Miranda?
Joao Miranda had been an important asset to Atlético Madrid and played a major role in the 2013/14 Champions League campaign and La Liga’s title victory.

Miranda can be without a doubt a very important player in Manchester United but it isn’t what the team requires for now.
Manchester United needs a signing which they can be sure of and is worth the price tag. The club has spent more than a whopping €300 million since the departure of Sir Alex from his duty and look where the club is.
United’s preferred buy should be a player for the forward position.
The team doesn’t really need a centre back in the team. They’ve already got many to fill up that position.
Joao Miranda is already 31 and losing his grip over his game as both Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are doing great without him and don’t really need him. It can be a risk having the 31-year-old play in the English Premier League. We all know how different it is than other leagues, the Brazilian has played in. It is perhaps too late to bring the centre-back to the most competitive league and that too in one the biggest clubs.
Red Devils can easily fancy another centre-back if they really need one.
One of the most inaccurate articles I have read in awhile – clearly the writer has never watched the player. Easily the most consistent player for Inter so far this season and still the captain of the Brazilian national team. He is “losing his grip” according to you though….
