As per Don Balon, Manchester United are set to beat Arsenal for the signature of Saul Niguez. The player is currently with Atletico Madrid and apparently the Red Devils have received positive signals for the signing to complete.
As per the report, Manchester United tried to sign the player in January but Niguez was not ready to move out of Vicente Calderon. However currently he is said to have had a change of heart and is not going to renew the contract he has with Atletico Madrid. The player’s current contract with Atletico Madrid runs till 2020.
Manchester United have had a disappointing season and may miss out on Champions League next season. Conflicting reports about United’s position on their current manager is all over the news and the Red Devils will have to strengthen their squad in order to seriously challenge for major honors. Saul Niguez could be a start.
