Mundo Deportivo has reported that Manchester United are prepared to move for Marc-Andre Ter Stegen if David De Gea happens to leave the club in the summer. The Spaniard missed out on a move to Real Madrid last summer and since then has signed a new contract with Red Devils for another four years.
The Spanish media will no doubt love to see De Gea go to Spain but the news mill is probably running ahead of time. He has definitely been the best player for Manchester United this season in several key games and it is very unlikely that David De Gea will be allowed to leave.
The report of United attempting to sign Ter Stegen may not necessarily be false as there are wide speculation that Sergio Romero may leave in the summer as the Argentine is unable to get enough game time due to the presence of De Gea. Ter Stegen is unhappy as the goalkeeping duty is divided between Bravo and him at Barcelona and it is debatable as to who is the better goalkeeper between the two. However he should have no problem to be an understudy to David De Gea as the only goalkeeper who could probably oust the Spaniard from a no.1 spot is Manuel Neuer.
