As per the German outlet, Kicker, Manchester United are interested in Bayern Leverkusen defender Omer Toprak. The news report says the United scouts have been spotted at Leverkusen games and were seemed to be monitoring the 26-year-old player in the last few weeks.
United has suffered about 14 injuries to their senior players and mostly in defense. As a result,the Red Devils have been fielding a makeshift defense line for a few weeks now. This has seen the rise of players like Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson in the first team.
The report does not mention about the bid amount but it is expected that a big bid from Manchester United will be able to make the deal happen easily. United want to strengthen in the summer and want to get more depth in the squad’s defense. A major overhaul at United could be expected not only in the squad but also in the management.
