Memphis Depay had a difficult time at Manchester United

A let down for Manchester United as they couldn’t continue with their winning streak by losing to Baggies on Sunday. United’s playmaker, Juan Mata was sent off in the first half for two bookable offenses. West Bromwich then found it easier to edge past the 10-man Manchester United at home with Rondon scoring the winner.

Here are the Player Ratings:

De Gea: 6

United goalkeeper David de Gea didn’t have a great deal to do but could do nothing about the goal.

Matteo Darmian: 6

Defended splendidly after returning from injury and replacing Varela, but could have done more to stop the cross which led to the goal.

Dailey Blind: 6

A mixed performance by the Dutchman. Cute passing and occasional mistakes.

Smalling: 6

Fitted back into the team as he never left. Showed a great display.

Rojo: 7

The Argentine defender was pretty solid at the back. West Brom players clearly didn’t enjoy playing from his flank.

Carrick: 6

Brought composure to the midfield after Mata was sent off. But couldn’t provide more energy in Manchester United’s midfield as much as it was needed.

Herrera: 5

Decent passing, both short and long. But the Spanish midfielder also wasted one of United’s few chances and was replaced within an hour.

Jesse Lingard: 6

Not an easy match but there were some moments that he could do so some damage which gave United hope.

Juan Mata: 3

The cause of the defeat to West Bromwich, the Spanish midfielder, was sent off after two foolish mistakes in the first half itself.

Anthony Martial: 7

Moved to centre-forward after the red card. Pushed the Baggies back whenever he had possession.

Rashford: 5

The 18-year-old wonder kid struggled to get into the game and struggled to make an impression.

Substitutes:

Schneiderlin 6 (for Herrera, 62 min)

Memphis 3 (for Rashford, 75 min)

Fosu-Mensah 5 (for Darmian, 83 min)
