Manchester United seems to be pleased with their ongoing form for a change in this season. Van Gaal’s young squad grabbed 3 points on Wednesday against Watford in Old Trafford, making it the fourth consecutive win and gaining hopes of playing in the Champions League next season.
The Reds will be looking forward to their match against the Baggies on Sunday.
Here is the possible line-up Van Gaal will be putting up:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea
The Spanish international is our no.1 man. Saving tons of matches with great reflexes and agility he always deserves and makes his way into the starting XI unless injured, obviously. De Gea made a couple of saves denying the dominant Watford to score even a single goal on Matchday 28.
Defenders: Varela, Dailey Blind, Rojo and Fosu-Mensah
Van Gaal made a couple of changes to the back four against Watford by starting young Timothy Fosu-Mensah at left back. He has shown a great display and awareness on the pitch which would make him a starter until the first choice team players return.
Dailey Blind has been a savior in the absence of Jones and Smalling at the centre-back position, reading the game of the opponents very well.
Midfielders: Schneiderlin, Herrera, Memphis, Rashford and Mata
The midfield of United is all that has made the difference in the last few games. Schneiderlin is undoubtedly the best central defensive midfielder Van Gaal has. Herrera and Mata have shown a great passing show and control the tempo of the game. Both the Spaniards have also scored a goal in the last two matches of the Premier League. Rashford might be replacing Lingard for upcoming matches if he goes on to showing the same level of display on the pitch.
Attacker: Martial
Anthony Martial made his return in the match against the Hornets from injury. Van Gaal now has some relief of at least, one striker making it back. The dilemma of choosing Rashford or Martial has been cleared by playing Rashford in the attacking mid. The Frenchman can and should get back to his goal scoring ways with the team fully provoked to step their game up a notch in these upcoming 10 games of this season.
