After an impressive on Sunday against the Gunners, the Reds are now marching on to get another 3 points in their bag on Wednesday. United have won all of their three last game in a sheer fashion. LVG’s squad is prepared to get the momentum going with an easy expected win against The Hornets in Old Trafford.
With all that in mind, here is the expected lineup:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea
After returning on Sunday from injury and couple of match saving reflexes from our No. 1, he is surely to be in the starting XI on Wednesday.
Defenders: Varela, Michael Carrick, Dailey Blind and Fosu-Mensah
Even after a few sloppy moments from our defenders, all-in-all they did a great job keeping Arsenal’s most potential players in their pocket for most of the match. However, Rojo lacked a lot of composure and was then replaced by the youngster after being injured, Fosu-Mensah who had a dreamy debut and proved to be more than capable replacement for the Argentine defender. LVG might consider starting him against Watford after all the rave reviews.
Midfielders: Schneiderlin, Herrera, Mata, Depay and Lingard
With no complaints from the midfield department after an amazing passing showdown against the Gunners, the midfield line-up is surely to be repeated. Schneiderlin did an amazing job contributing his efforts to both the defence and the attack playing as an ideal CDM. Herrera and Mata stepping up their game with comparatively faster tempo in passing had left the club and the fans pleased.
Attacker: Marcus Rashford
The youngster, who has taken over the football world by storm in last 4 days after scoring 4 goals in his first 2 matches, is an obvious selection with Wayne Rooney and Martial still managing to return from injuries.
Substitutes:
Sergio Romero
Marcos Rojo
Patrick McNair
James Weir
Adnan Januzaj
Joe Riley
