Manchester United are monitoring Felipe Anderson from Lazio as per Football Insider’s sources. As per the reports, United sent scouts to observe the winger on Sunday and are still interested in the player.
United apparently tried signing the Brazilian for £37.6 million in the January transfer window but the deal did not take place. The main reason cited was that the Red Devils were willing to pay £30 million upfront with the rest as add-on but Lazio wanted the whole amount in an upfront payment.
The 22-year-old arrived at Lazio from Santos in 2013 and has a contract with the Italian club till 2020. This season he has scored seven goals and supplied four assists in 34 matches.
United are looking to bolster up front having struggled to score goals this season. With their manager situation very unstable at the moment it is highly speculative of what the team will look like next season. Felipe Anderson is said to be a target irrespective of that.
