Record, a Portuguese newspaper has a new story on the transfer development of Renato Sanches. The report states that the Benfica and Manchester United have reached a “gentleman’s agreement” regarding the transfer of the player.
Renato Sanches has been a revelation this season and the talk about his move to Manchester United has been ongoing since the January transfer window opened. The player is said to be worth at €60 million straightaway by Benfica and United have been a little reluctant to pay such high price for the gifted youngster.
United wanted to pay €40m upfront and the rest €20m in add-on. Benfica however, has been reported to have told United that they want to beat Alex Witsel’s record and wants more than €40m in upfront payment and the rest in add-on payment. This is the report from Record but there may be someone within the media pushing for the transfer so lets just wait and watch.
