As per Daily Star, Paris Saint-Germain has informed Manchester United that Edison Cavani will cost £40 million. The player has been reported to be contemplating a move to Premier League and Manchester United and Chelsea have emerged as interested parties.
The player, 29 year old Uruguayan has had to play second choice to Zlatan Ibrahimovic for several years now since his move from Napoli. He is said to be unhappy and wants to play a more central role as his role is currently at the wings. He has scored 71 goals for PSG in 130 games and the player’s father believes he can score more if given the chance as the main striker.
However £40 million for a 29 year old is considerably high price and Manchester Untied are said to be not willing to meet the price tag for an old player. There is no update from Chelsea on the matter but United will definitely not be buying Cavani for that valuation.
