Italian website CalcioMercato has reported that Marc Batra could be making his way to Manchester United in the summer if everything falls into place. The 25 year old has been linked with several clubs in the recent times and if the website is to be believed, the Old Trafford is the likeliest destination.
Batra has spent 7 years in the Catalan club and made only 55 appearances. This season though he has been impressive, he could only manage to start only 3 league games. Obviously he is not fitting into Luis Enrique’s plans and is said to be looking for a change of venue. Moreover his contract will expire at Barcelona in 2017 and the club wants to cash in on the player in the summer rather than losing him for free the next year.
The price quoted for the Spaniard is €15 million and that should be an easy deal for Manchester United to consider. However with Manchester United already having decent full backs in Darmian and Shaw as well as emergence of Varela and Brothwick-Jackson the deal has a 50-50 chance.
