Manchester United Transfers 2021-22

Edison Cavani has scored 16 goals this season for Laurent Blanc’s Paris Saint-Germain. Not a shabby number by any account but the player’s father feels that he could do better at other clubs.

Cavani came on as a second half substitute in the match against Chelsea and scored the decisive goal in the 78th minute that handed PSG the victory. The player has traditionally been a goal scorer and while scoring a goal is nothing new for him, the position that he plays in is not appreciated by the player and his father.

There has been reports and rumors of the player wanting to leave PSG in last few transfer windows and all boils down to the same reason. Cavani is forced to play in the wings as long as Zlatan is there. The player’s father thinks that given a role of a striker, he will be able to score more goals and help any team better. Thus he has urged his son to join the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid or Juventus.

“PSG bought him to play at the pinnacle of the attack, but Edi plays on the wing. He’s not happy in that position. He can’t help his team like he wants to. As long as Zlatan is there, he will play in the centre. It’s obviously clear that Edi would be more effective in the middle and would profit from the numerous crosses from his team-mates. Edi was born to score. I’d like to see him play for Real Madrid, Manchester United or Juventus.”
