Betfair has slashed the odds from 12/1 to 5/1 for Paul Pogba to return to United. The reason? Well there are several of them.
- Barcelona were the favorite to sign Pogba on a world record fee of £85 million but have reduced their interest given that Barcelona is undergoing financial stress. This means that the Catalan club will not agree to a world record fee for the player and Juventus will look to sell him for nothing less.
- People placing bets on Manchester united and Manchester City signing Paul Pogba has increased and thus their odds are at 5/1 and 6/1 respectively. This means United are slightly more likely to sign the French youngster.
- Jose Mourinho is 1/4 to take over and he wanted to bring Pogba to Chelsea last summer and is likely to rekindle that interest if he joins Manchester United. It is expected that the Portuguese will be given a £300 million war chest to rebuild Manchester United.
Well, considering that Paul Pogba was a United academy product, it seems like a big waste of money but hey not every club keeps reporting world record breaking revenue year after year right?
