Southampton has produced some noteworthy talents in the recent years. They seem to be getting good at bringing players from relative oblivion to become famous enough to be wanted by big clubs. The downside? Sometimes the players are hell bent on leaving Southampton for the bigger clubs.
Victor Wanyama and Sadio Mane are both said to be in demand from the Premier League big boys and are stalling a new deal with Southampton. Wanyama has one more season left on his contract and Mane has two.
Arsenal and Tottenham are said to be interested in Victor Wanyama and the player is trying to make his way out of the club. Southampton are keen to renew the contract to avoid a similar situation where they had to let Nathaniel Clyne leave on a cut-price deal.
Sadio Mane is a long term interest of Manchester United and nearly forced his way out the club in the summer. The club managed to hold him back but he too will be looking for a way out of the club as soon as possible.
