3 Players Who Will Play Better If LVG Was Not The Manager
Louis van Gaal has a philosophy, or so he claims. However, despite being in charge for more than 18 months now, no one has yet fully understood it. It is known that he likes to keep the ball and hence govern possession, yet it is hard to fathom why the team takes up so much time to manufacture an attack. Manchester United struggle to have even a single shot on target these days, something which was unimaginable in the Fergie era. Smaller teams like Southampton and West Bromwich Albion have come to Old Trafford and beaten us in recent years, something which is hard to accept. Most players seem to be misfiring under the Dutchman as well, and here we enlist 3 such players who would probably perform better if it wasn’t for LVG:
1. ANTHONY MARTIAL
The Frenchman has an impressive array of skills, but playing as a no. 9 is where he excels the most. Whenever van Gaal has put him up front, either as a direct striker or as someone to hold the ball and bring others into play, Martial has been brilliant. However for some unexplainable reason, van Gaal continues playing the former Monaco forward on the left-hand side, where he is not nearly as effective. Anyone else would put Martial upfront, Wayne Rooney as the no. 10 and Memphis Depay or Adnan Januzaj on the left wing.
