Daily Express has reported that Marouane Fellaini’s agent will be deciding the midfielder’s fate by this weekend. He is said to have set up a meeting with AC Milan officials to see if a deal can be taken forward.
The player joined United in 2013 from Everton but has found it difficult to make a stamp in Old Trafford. Having started only 11 games this season so far the agent feels that his client has been a scapegoat for Old Trafford misery last few years. Apparently AC Milan is interested in getting Fellaini to San Siro but the problem is the transfer fee. The Italian club wants to take him on loan while United prefer to sell him completely or not to let him leave at all. The asking price £20m is a little too high for the Milanese club.
Though not a starting player, Marouane Fellaini has given United a new attack option when United seemed to have been stuck several times in last season. With him gone the fans are most likely sentenced to Louis Van Gaal’s philosophy.
