With nine winless games in December and six of them without scoring any goal, Manchester United are looking at their worst goal scoring form in a few decades. Not surprisingly, Louis Van Gaal has decided to reinforce the squad in order to look for more attacking players. While many believe Robert Lewandowski is their primary target, we do not see the Polish striker leaving Bayern mid-season.
A more realistic target, though debatable for mid season acquisition, is Riyad Maharez of Leicester City. The player has linked up very well with Jamie Vardy and has scored 13 goals and 7 assists in 16 games. His accomplishment has caught the eyes of the Old Trafford and with Louis Van Gaal demanding more creativity and speed in his team, Maharez seems a suitable option.
French publication, Le10 Sport has claimed that United are about to bid £29m for the player in January? Will it tempt Leicester to sell their key playmaker? Doubtful but probable.
