In Morgan Schneiderlin, he will be getting someone who is solid on the ball, has an excellent positioning sense and tackles strongly and relentlessly. Given how the likes of Nemanja Matic and Lassana Diarra have made their name under the Portugese, it is obvious the Frenchman is most likely to excel as well.
5. WAYNE ROONEY
The former Everton man has been at Manchester United for more than a decade now, and is still plugging away very well indeed. Infact, he is now United’s 2nd highest goalscorer of all time and it is a well known fact that Jose has admired him for a long time, given how badly he wanted to sign the English international in 2013 after Sir Alex retired. Rooney’s vision and workrate will be an asset to the former Inter Milan boss, while the enviable skill and technique and leadership he will bring to the squad make him certain to rediscover his old form once again.
