Serbian Gor Milinkovic-Savic has left Manchester United 18 months after joining the club due to work permit issues. The Under-20 world cup winner, who was signed for a fee believed to be in the region of €1.75 Million from Vojvodina before being loaned back to them has joined Polish side Lechia.
“I had to go back to Manchester, but there is a problem with a work permit in England,” he told Lechia’s website.
“The case dragged on, unfortunately. I couldn’t find a club where I could be loaned to.
“I decided to terminate the contract with Manchester United. I am glad that I was able to come to an agreement with Lechia.”
United have already loaned out two of their young keepers in O’Hara (Stockport) and Castro Pereira (Rochdale) as they seek to provide some essential playing time to their young breed. The 18 year old, who is 6’7 will now seek to resurrect his young career in the Polish league before it can fall apart unlike many prodigies.
In news is another United Goal Keeper who wants to put the demons of a failed move behind him at the earliest. The Spaniard has been deemed excess to requirements with De Gea, Romero and even young Sam Johnstone featuring in the plans ahead of him.
