Recent Reports suggested that former Manchester United and Arsenal star Robin van Persie is one of the transfer targets for the La Liga champions Barcelona, as the Dutch international is currently struggling to proper game time with the Turkish side.

However, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has now dismissed all such rumors and confirmed that the Catalan side are not interested in his services.

Speaking in his weekly Q&A session with Sky Sports, Balague said,

 “There is a list of veteran strikers that would come cheaply [to Barcelona] and will accept a secondary role, but Van Persie is not on that list.”
