Manchester United are back at the top of the league after two and a half years. This must be some sort of a relief for Louis van Gaal after having made a mediocre start to his managerial career at Old Trafford. Expect van Gaal to field a strong team against Arsenal. One of the fiercest rivalry in the premier league this is going to be an interesting match up. Arsenal with a strong team and playing some of their best football in their last match against Leicester City and United winning with no real verve in their game but just doing enough to secure 3 points.
David de Gea
Perhaps regarded as one of the best goalkeepers to have played the game of the football, he has to be on his element best to thwart this Arsenal attack. With Arsenal coming with a full strength team de Gea might have his hands full this time around. He is going to be tested and it will be a hard task for the Spanish no 2 to come out on top every time.
Valencia, Smalling, Blind, Darmian
It will be a hard task for this makeshift defence to tackle the Arsenal onslaught. With Shaw more or less out for the season Valencia and Darmian will have their hands full with Sanchez and Ramsey or Walcott on either side and Smalling and Blind will have to stop the defence splitting passes of Ozïl. The United defence will be given the test of the season this weekend.
Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Mata, Rooney, Depay
It will be essential for the United midfield to have a hold over the ball and control the game. Considering the fact that Mata is at his element best in United he will play a crucial role if United are to win this weekend. Rooney and Depay have to step up their game if they expect to trouble the Arsenal defence.
Martial
Arsene Wenger was considered one of the pioneers in picking out the best French players from Ligue 1. He might be cursing his luck if Martial scores this Sunday. He has been a breath of fresh air for the United frontline and can turn out to be one of the best forwards in the world given the right amount of time and proper guidance.
